Vancouver Beer Mile is the city’s only chip timed beer mile, and one of the most unique events in the Vancouver running scene.

What Is Vancouver Beer Mile?
Vancouver Beer Mile is the most anticipated event of the local running community!
Vancouver Beer Mile started as four friends running a beer mile to support their buddy in his bid to qualify for the Beer Mile World Championships is Austin, Texas.
The event has grown to be a perpetually sold out, 100 person, renegade, chip timed beer mile (and beer mile relay) with costumes, unique race packs, and wacky prizes.

What Makes It Unique?
It’s a Chip Timed Beer Mile!!
Chip timed beer miles don’t ever happen in Vancouver…. except at Vancouver Beer Mile!
The event has run crews talking all year long, and is one of the most highly anticipated events of the season.
The Race Packs
The race packs are the highlight of Vancouver Beer Mile. Past race packs have included:
- A handmade race bib
- Chocolate medals
- Lottery tickets
- Candy from the Japanese dollar store
- A photo of the race director with a motivational quote
- A jar of nutella
- One of a kind beer glasses
- Freshly baked German pretzel
- 10 pound bags of coffee
- Ciele hats
- goodr sunglasses
The Awards
Award winners get more nutella, brewery gift cards, chocolate medals, honey from the race director’s Dad’s bees (from Vancouver Island), and whatever other weird awards that Vancouver Beer Mile decides that he wants to throw in.
Additionally there are random draws for a Golden Podium. The last Golden Podium winners ended up with chocolate medals, Aftershokz headphones, specialty running socks, extra nutella, Cory’s Dad’s honey, and a head to toe outfitting of lululemon gear.
What We’re Looking For In A Partner
The goal of Vancouver Beer Mile is to provide each participant with value that significantly transcends the amount of money that they choose to pay to enter the event.
We are looking for product partners to provide items for either race packages or Golden Podium Prizing:
- Race Packages – Provide items to be included in 120 race packages given to participants
- Golden Podium – Provide items to be given out as random draw prizes at the end of Vancouver Beer Mile
As a partner you’ll have the opportunity to align yourself with a unique event, more importantly, you will be helping build a peak experience for key members of the Vancouver running community.
What You Get
If you partner with Vancouver Beer Mile you will get the following exposure (at minimum):
- Logo/link placement on www.
vancouverbeermile.com with references that you are one of the organizations with the courage to support such a rad event.
- Multiple social posts on the Vancouver Beer Mile instagram account @vancouverbeermile
recognizing your organization. Posts on that account have a minimum 25% interaction rate.
- Recognition and mentions in emails sent to all participants leading up to and after the Beer Mile
- Recognition in the pre race and post race announcements and awards ceremony
- The hearts and love of the Vancouver running community
